Mart’s work is predominantly figurative, and often appears whimsical in nature. While some pieces are characterized by playful subjects like men on bicycles and pirates, in others he moves towards near complete abstraction in jubilant studies of line and color. Close inspection of his work typically reveals a surprising level of detail and an incredibly skilled use of aerosol.
