A resourceful and skilled artist, Jaz experiments with the textures and tones found in unconventional materials such as asphaltic paint and petrol. His street pieces include towering murals with the quality of delicate watercolour paintings, whilst his gallery works retain the raw experimental feel of his urban art. His current output is focussed upon powerful symmetrical compositions which exude energy both on and off the streets.
More infoThis is the first in a series of paintings created for Jaz’s 2010 show “Aguante”, in which he explored abstract representations of violence and football hooliganism in Argentina.
This piece was originally painted on wood, but due to the complicated logistics involved in shipping wooden pieces, it will be recreated on canvas.
